Very interesting article... I'm still not sure about the logic that making guns more accessible makes them less likely to be used... why is it that the US has so much more problems with guns than, for instance, here in Australia? I must admit that I am not knowledgable enough on the differing laws of either country.. perhaps a point to consider????

One of the things I think history has taught us (or in many cases not) is that legislating against violence is akin to (today anyway) creating a war to protect our homeland. There's something a bit more endemic in violence than simply the means with which to pull it off. As we bandaid our society, we lose the war on violence. It's systemic. Make a point/difference or don't...but laws won't ever work in the short term.
