Psssst... I can always count on your blog... that's why I'm tagging you!

The Rules: One: Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. Two: People who are tagged need to write their own blog entry about their eight things and post these rules. Three: at the end of your entry, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names/pseudonyms/blogs. Four: Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

I agree with you. Positive thinking is helpful but not magic. I learned to walk again after two moths in a comma but it wasn't positive thinking that brought me back. I gave up. It was marvelous therapists who pushed and shoved and even lied so that step by step I could walk again.

The reason most self help books don't work is that most people expect that if they ask they shall receive, yet are not prepared to put the work in. Words are not enough to make change. The thing that the successful people from the secret have in common is they believe, and they were prepared to work hard to achieve it. They were not prepared to accept that what they had was enough.

Read your article, I am the lady you wrote of..all the tragedy in life, is true. I had practice the Secret for over 25 years and still do. I had very strong beliefs and I had worked very hard to achieve and accomplished many of my goals.
Tragedy happens, no one is prepared for any horrible negativities that will enter in one's life. What I had learned, about strong beliefs and working hard, could easily be taken away.
I have a very rich life, is not financial, it's what I had achieved and accomplished. At times, I do sorrow for my losses (not materials) but, staying positive helps me cope with my pains and how to deal with it. For example, taking something negative and changing it to a positive.
I am bless with a sound mind and health. Actually, I have come to believe the Secret is not always about gaining financial wealth, love, happiness, etc. For me it became part of my life to survive such many tragedies, becoming more closer to God, old friends became closer, gained many new friends and I don't worry or work hard anymore.
My new goal is what I can achieve while enjoying life.
