dr. john sent me too and I agree with bazza, that is scary. I can see how it might help with say an alzheimers patient, but the potential for abuse is frightening.

Also here from Dr. John's and just as alarmed as the rest. I had no idea RFID was so far advanced. It is indeed scary stuff.

this touches on so many frightening posts..for me, the religion stuff comes in to play..my ex-mother in law would often talk about the sign of the beast and how all these were them..

all those many talks are still popping up in my head when i read these sorts of things..

there are plenty of reason's i wouldn't want it or accept it..privacy is one but also the feeling of Big Brother watching us all so closely and well, so many more..

dr. John sent me here, he has made you his link for today. enjoy.

They implanted a chip in my dog while I had her at the vet overnight to be spayed. Although it was "free" I still feel a bit violated because they didn't ask my permission.

Now when PeeWeeWiggles leaves a 5am steamer in Dr. John's driveway - her where abouts can be tracked and I am held liable to go over there and scoop it up.

Farmers are fighting the government's efforts to put an rfid tag on every cow, horse, sheep, chicken or other farm animal and to track their movements right now. Besides the cost of the tags, the expense for maintaining animal movement databases will be overwhelming. The intrusion into our privacy (they actually are looking for documentation of every time you ride your horse off your property in some states)shocking in this so-called free nation. Many figure that if the National Animal ID program is successfully implemented people will be next. Scary stuff
